The long-delayed Kishau multipurpose project has moved ahead after an agreement was signed for the ₹15,000-crore dam on the Tons River. The project is expected to support irrigation and drinking-water requirements across six states. Once completed, the dam could strengthen regional water management while adding significant power-generation capacity.
