Defence and maritime security support between India and Sri Lanka is gaining further momentum. During his visit to Sri Lanka, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met President AK Dissanayake to discuss bilateral ties and maritime security. Dissanayake assured that Sri Lankan territory would not be used for activities that could harm India's security interests.
