Saima Wazed, WHO's Southeast Asia regional director and daughter of ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, resigned today amid fraud investigations. Wazed, who began her 5-year term in 2024, had been placed on unpaid administrative leave. Bangla's Anti-Corruption Commission had accused her of fraud, adding to the legal troubles surrounding Hasina and her allies.
