1.7 Lakh Fliers Stuck As Indonesia Airport Shuts

Around 170,000 passengers were stranded after Indonesia shut eight airports following Mount Anak Krakatoa's eruption. Authorities reported 1,558 delayed flights, including more than 900 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Volcanic ash in surrounding airspace forced the closures, while alternative airports were prepared as eruptive activity continued.
