Swatantra Bhardwaj has been sent to one-day police custody after Delhi Police arrested him over the alleged assault of a protester's father during the CJP agitation at Jantar Mantar in July. Bhardwaj was detained following a complaint by CJP worker Nishu Aazad, who accused him of assaulting her father Sanjay. She also alleged police delayed registering an FIR.
