Dhanush and director Balaji Mohan are reportedly planning "Maari 3", nearly eight years after the second part's release. Dhanush has suggested a storyline and asked Balaji to develop it. The script is currently in progress, with the film expected to materialise next year. Reports also suggest Anirudh may reunite with Dhanush for the third instalment.
