The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved splitting Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology into three new technical universities in Bhopal, Ujjain and Jabalpur. The move aims to make education management easier across regions. The new universities will cover different divisions. RGPV currently has 585 institutes, 13 courses and more than 3.83 lakh students.
