Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar today moved the Supreme Court seeking quashing of criminal cases linked to Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led July protests. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said separate pleas were filed for the four states. CJI Surya Kant agreed to hear them together, directing the states to ensure defect-free applications.
