India's gross GST collections rose 14.8% year-on-year to ₹1,99,853 crore in August 2026, driven by a 29% increase in import-related taxes. Domestic GST revenue grew 9.3% to Rs 1,37,249 crore. After refunds, net collections stood at ₹1,68,057 crore, up 8.3%. Meanwhile, the 57th GST Council meeting is scheduled for September 12 in New Delhi.
