Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu will inaugurate Phase-1 of the Veligonda Project at Gantavanipalli in Markapuram district today. The project's foundation stone was laid in 1996, and its first phase has been completed after 30 years. It will provide irrigation to 1.19 lakh acres and drinking water to around four lakh people across several districts.
