Centre To Begin Pre-Budget Meetings From Oct 12

The government has begun preparations for Union Budget 2027-28, with the Finance Ministry issuing the Budget Circular. Ministries must submit expenditure projections by October 6, ahead of pre-Budget meetings from October 12. The exercise emphasises realistic allocations, fiscal discipline, approved priorities and alignment with the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision.
