Two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra suffered an ankle ligament tear during training and will miss the Asian Games in Japan, ending his 2026 season early. The injury came shortly after his season-best throw of 88.05m in Lausanne. He will also miss the Diamond League Final and World Athletics Ultimate Championships.
