The Petroleum Ministry rejected concerns that the revised CBG price under the GOBARdhan Scheme would significantly burden CNG and PNG consumers. Though procurement costs rose 43%, govt support of ₹10 per kg will lower the effective increase to around 28%. The ministry said CBG costs will also be distributed across a domestic gas base 2.5-3 times larger.
