The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rain across Northeast India, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, West Bengal and Uttarakhand today. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected in several areas. Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Lakshadweep may receive widespread rain. Fishermen have been advised to avoid the seas.
