The first Kanda Express, carrying 453.65 tonnes of onions from Nashik, reached Delhi on Friday. The Centre will sell them at ₹35 per kg in Delhi-NCR to control rising prices. The government has 1.21 lakh tonnes of onion in buffer stock and plans to send more onions to other cities to improve supplies and reduce prices.
