At least 15 newborns were killed after a fire broke out in the mother-and-child ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in Islamabad. The blaze reportedly began after an air-conditioning system fault. Sixteen infants were in the ward, with only one rescued. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an immediate investigation into the tragedy.
