Tamil film producers have announced that no new Tamil films will release from September 1. Film shootings and post-production work will also stop. The decision comes after theatre owners and distributors demanded an eight-week gap before films reach OTT platforms. Producers called the move unilateral and said they would seek talks with the Tamil Nadu government.
