Indian Cricketer Dies On Field During Oman Match

Indian expat Shabeer Basheer, 35, from Kerala, died after collapsing during a tennis-ball cricket match in Oman's Al Hail on August 21. The Jiffnain Challengers captain was rushed to NMC Hospital but could not be revived. Living in Oman for 14 years, he leaves behind his wife and child. Repatriation of his body to India is being arranged.
