Flood-rescued elephant Joymoti, 53, is being airlifted to Vantara in Gujarat for specialised treatment. She suffered multiple wounds, eye damage and a long-standing leg injury after being swept away in floods. The transfer will reduce travel stress and provide advanced veterinary care. Vantara has also proposed wildlife treatment centres in Assam.
