Minister Adhav Arjuna defended Tamil Nadu’s decision to provide government cars to all 234 MLAs, saying the scheme is meant to support legislators equally. He said some MLAs, especially from smaller parties, cannot afford cars or houses. Arjuna added that vehicles are needed for MLAs to travel across their constituencies and meet people regularly.
