The Bihar government has rejected reports that education loans under its Student Credit Card Scheme have been reduced. Officials said assistance remains available, with loans up to ₹2 lakh through the state corporation and ₹2-4 lakh through commercial banks. Funding has also increased to ₹950 crore for 2026-27, officials said.
