The SC has formed a five-member high-powered committee to examine alleged police excesses and violence during student protests. Former SC judge Justice R Subhash Reddy will head the panel, joined by former CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla, a former HC chief justice, another ex-judge and a retired DGP. The panel will examine the incidents.
