Massachusetts woman Riley English was sentenced to 6-years and one month in prison for bringing homemade firebombs to the US Capitol in an alleged plot to kill Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. English, who cited a mental health crisis and drug abuse, was arrested in January 2025. No one was injured, and the judge said her plan had little chance of succeeding.
