Badminton WC: Sindhu Beats Sophia Noble In Opening Round

PV Sindhu began her 2026 World Championships campaign with a comfortable 21-7, 21-11 win over Ireland’s Sophia Noble in 29 minutes. The former champion controlled the match throughout and reached the Round of 32. Sindhu will next face Canada’s Wen Yu Zhang. Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also advanced in women’s doubles.
