Tata Group stocks faced heavy selling pressure after Chandrasekaran decided not to seek reappointment as Tata Sons chairman. The combined market capitalisation of 17 listed companies fell ₹68,119 crore to ₹26.32 lakh crore. TCS led the decline, losing ₹42,440 crore, followed by Titan, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Steel, while a few group stocks gained.
