Indian airline pilots cannot use marijuana even where it is legal abroad. DGCA rules allow random testing for cannabis and other drugs. A positive screening result requires confirmatory testing and medical review. A confirmed case can lead to rehabilitation, licence suspension or cancellation. However, a urine test alone cannot prove impairment during a flight.
