The Sports Ministry has suspended recognition of the TTFI over governance concerns, including failure to conduct timely elections. The ministry also asked the Indian Olympic Association to form an ad-hoc committee to administer the sport, in consultation with the International Table Tennis Federation, until a compliant TTFI structure is restored.
