The Amarnath Yatra was suspended today amid inclement weather and a forecast of heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities stopped fresh pilgrim batches from leaving Jammu and will monitor weather conditions and the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Over 4.75 lakh pilgrims have completed darshan so far. The pilgrimage is scheduled to conclude on Aug 28.
