Assam Flood Toll Rises To 98, 1.55 Lakh Affected

Assam's flood toll rose to 98, with 1.55 lakh people affected across 13 districts. Golaghat, Sivasagar and Jorhat remain among the worst-hit. The government will conduct door-to-door damage assessments from August 9-30 in Jorhat, Sivasagar, Golaghat and Charaideo to estimate rehabilitation funds. Officials are running 55 relief camps and 18 distribution centres.
