Unidentified assailants shot dead local Congress leader and former Gram Panchayat president David D'Souza in Udupi on Friday. The attack occurred in Shirva police station limits. Senior police officers rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. The motive is yet to be established. This is the second shooting incident in the coastal district in recent days.
