The Ministry of External Affairs has appointed senior diplomat Devesh Uttam as India's next Ambassador to Ethiopia. A 2003-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, he is currently serving as Ambassador to Lithuania. Uttam has previously held diplomatic assignments in Iran, the United Nations, Libya and Syria, and is expected to take charge of his new post soon.
