Woman Jailed For Sending Minor Daughter Into Prostitution

A fast-track court in Mizoram sentenced a 42-year-old woman to 12 years in prison for forcing her minor daughter into prostitution and making her consume alcohol. The court found her guilty based on witness testimony, medical evidence and the police investigation. She was also fined ₹15,000, while the co-accused died before the trial concluded.
