A Uttar Pradesh man, Amar Singh, beat his wife Rita to death and ran her over with a car to claim a ₹44 lakh insurance policy. He confessed after police interrogation. The post-mortem revealed over 12 injuries and damaged internal organs. The policy was taken out just two months ago. Accomplices were also arrested.
