IMD Issues Red Alert In Gujarat For Extreme Rainfall

The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra, predicting extremely heavy rainfall today due to a deep depression. Widespread rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds is likely till August 2. Several districts face flash flood risk, with possible inundation in low-lying and waterlogged areas, authorities warned.
