A Parliamentary panel has summoned Meta, Google, X and Snapchat, along with officials from MeitY and the Home Ministry, for a meeting on August 3. The panel will discuss social media regulation, user privacy and public order. The meeting comes after social media played a major role in mobilising the recent CJP student protests.
