Veteran Telugu actress and character artist Pavala Shyamala passed away at Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad. Born as Nethi Shyamala in 1951 at Amaravathi, Guntur district, she overcame personal tragedy after losing her husband at a young age and turned to theatre for survival. Her acclaimed play 'Pavala' earned her the screen name, leading to memorable roles.
