A 76-year-old Hyderabad doctor lost ₹86 lakh in an online investment scam that used Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's name in ads. Lured by claims of ₹22 lakh weekly earnings, he paid ₹17,500 to register and invested more. When he tried to withdraw ₹85 lakh, the money was diverted. Fraudsters demanded more fees. He then approached cyber police.
