UPI payments using fingerprint and facial recognition crossed 611 million transactions worth Rs 25,416 crore in June, according to NPCI. The feature allows users to make secure, PIN-free payments using biometric authentication. NPCI said the growing use of this option shows rising demand for faster, simpler and more convenient digital payment experiences.
