Hyd Advocate's Plea Spurs MEA Action For Stranded Indian Sailors

Following a petition by Hyderabad advocate Yennam Balachander Reddy, the MEA began implementing NHRC directions to help nearly 2,000 Indian seafarers stranded in the Persian Gulf. The Gulf Division referred the matter to PAI Division, which is engaging Iranian authorities for clearances. Only six India-bound vessels awaited clearance as of June 29.
