Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that Delhi buses will soon run on hydrogen produced from segregated municipal waste via biodigesters. He claimed 8 million tons of landfill garbage have been used for expressway construction. Currently, a hydrogen bus operates in Central Vista. Gadkari also noted his constituency earns ₹325 crore annually from treated wastewater.
