Uttar Pradesh Seeks Ramsar Tag For More Wetlands

Uttar Pradesh has notified 101 protected wetlands across 26 districts and is considering 44 more for protection. The state is also preparing proposals to get Ramsar status for additional wetlands. The initiative aims to conserve biodiversity, prevent encroachments, improve water conservation, and protect important ecosystems across the state.
