The government extended nil customs duty on 40 critical petrochemical imports until July 15, supporting plastics, textiles, and pharma sectors. Initially introduced on April 2 amid West Asia supply disruptions, the waiver was set to end June 30. The extension ensures supply stability for industries reliant on methanol, styrene, and other key inputs.
