Can E80 Fuel Become India's Answer To Rising Oil Imports?

India's gradual shift from E20 to higher ethanol blends such as E80 is being viewed as a best strategy to reduce dependence on imported crude oil, and lower carbon emissions. Increased ethanol use can support domestic agriculture, save foreign exchange and promote cleaner transportation. However, large-scale adoption will also require compatible new vehicles.
