Centre Allocates ₹18,907 Cr For Rural Roads In FY27

The Centre has earmarked ₹18,907 crore to build 26,474 km of rural roads in FY27 under PMGSY and related schemes. During a review meeting, states were urged to speed up pending projects, improve quality, and ensure connectivity to all habitations, especially in tribal and Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, while resolving execution bottlenecks.
