TG Plans Long-Term Desiltation Strategy For Major Reservoirs

The Telangana government plans to prepare a long-term scientific strategy to remove silt from major reservoirs and restore their storage capacity. Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy asked officials to study successful models from other states and speed up ongoing works. The move aims to improve water security, conserve water and reduce flood risks.
