2027 UP Election: Congress And SP Diverge On Owaisi’s Entry

Congress and Samajwadi Party sent mixed signals on an alliance with AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi for the 2027 UP polls. Congress MP Imran Masood ruled out any “compromise with communalism,” while SP’s Ram Gopal Yadav said “whoever defeats BJP is welcome.” Owaisi said he is open to joining if treated with respect and equal status.
