The government has barred industrial and institutional users from purchasing petrol and diesel at retail fuel pumps, directing them to procure fuel through bulk. The move aims to prevent abnormal demand at retail outlets caused by price differences and ensure steady supply for regular consumers. Retail diesel sales are also capped at 200 litres per day.
