The Maharashtra government has put on hold its proposed law on Devasthan Inam lands after receiving a large number of objections from temple organisations. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that the draft, aimed at protecting temple properties and removing encroachments, will undergo hearings till August 15 to address concerns.
