West Bengal has formed an SIT led by retired Justice Anindita Roy Saraswati to investigate the stampede at Kolkata’s Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal that killed 19 people and injured 25. The team will examine crowd management, CCTV footage, weather conditions and possible administrative lapses. It must submit its report within three months.
