Kolkata Pandal Tragedy: CM Adhikari Announces Ex-gratia

At least 19 people, including several women, died in a stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Chorbagan, north Kolkata. Twenty-five others were injured. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced Rs 25 lakh and a government job for each victim’s family. The government will cover medical expenses and give Rs 5 lakh to each injured person.
